Workspaces and offices follow a functional lighting strategy: daylight integration where possible, adjustable task lighting, high color rendering to support hospitality to dignitaries and guests, and controls to adapt mood and usage—so that lighting can switch gracefully between official functions, receptions, or more quiet private hours.
Project brief
Inside the Palace, lighting is arranged to honor its heritage, stateliness, and functional diversity. Formal reception rooms, offices, and ceremonial halls are fitted with warm ambient lighting—chandeliers, wall-sconces, and indirect uplights—that accentuate the craftsmanship of the woodwork, limestone surfaces, and hand-made decorative motifs. Lighting temperatures are chosen to match historic wood tones and stone textures, preserving the richness of materials and finishes.
Corridors, staircases, and transitional spaces are subtly illuminated by layered lighting: low-glare overhead lighting combined with accent lights showcasing architectural details like carved stone arches or the grand staircase. The use of soft downlights or recessed fixtures ensures that sight lines remain clean and shadows are minimized.
